Age specific bithday cards, Are these a good thing or not?
Age specific card can be a good thing for some, though for others it can be a bad thing.
If for instance the person is turning the age of 40 they might think that this is a turning point in their lives that they may or may not want to be reminded of.
Then you have the ages for celebration like the ages of sixteen and twenty one the coming of age and the time when you can actually do things legally.
The ripe old age of the 100th birthday should be celebrated with joy and happiness as it marks 100 years of being on this earth.
But what about ages like a first birthday yes the baby is one year old but we really only give cards for the pleasure of the parents as the child is far too young to even contemplate the idea of a card.
There is of course the easy way out if you are a little wary of giving an age specific birthday card you could always opt for the general birthday card. Or you could send them a humorous birthday card which will either make them laugh or cringe or even punch you on the nose.
